Cover Characteristics: Elephants

Cover Characteristics2

This is a new meme hosted by Sugar & Snark. It came about when Sugar was wondering which cover to use for her #70 Cover of the Week post. Sugar kept on thinking of more than one, and they all seemed to have a theme/characteristic. So she decided to switch things up a bit!

Each week we will post a characteristic and choose 5 of our favorite covers with that characteristic. If you want to join in and share your 5 favorite covers with the week’s particular characteristic, then just make a post, grab the meme picture (or make your own) and leave your URL in Linky (so we can visit). You don’t even need to participate, just stopping by and saying hi would be great! Don’t forget to stop by the other participants!

Elephants have always been an animal I have loved seeing in photos, on video, in movies. I attribute this to the elephant herd in the Disney animated version of The Jungle Book and the number of times I watched it.

But my favorite elephant book of all is…

  • Santa
  • UFO
  • New York City
  • Person Sitting in Field
  • Perfume
  • Balloons
  • Pencils/Pens
  • Wolves
  • Footprints
  • Clocks
  • Swamp
  • Compass Symbol
  • Face in the Sky
  • Movie Screen
  • Hearts

  1. Love your elephant cover choices, Charlie! I just replied to your comment on Booknificent, but I wanted to pop over here as well in case you don’t see it. That sale I mentioned on the Who Was…? biographies is still going and many of them are still only $2.49 for the paperbacks! I think I must have looked at the Kindle prices instead of the paperbacks when I went to check and see if it was still going. Here’s the link in case you are still interested: Sorry about that confusion – totally my bad.

  2. Aww the Saggy Baggy Elephant is cute! I like The Elephant Whisperer and Water for Elephants as well.
