Sunday Post (June 1)

Sunday PostThe Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news, a post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things received, and share news about what is coming up on the blog for the week ahead. To get in on the Sunday funday, see the rules here: Sunday Post Meme. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

This past week has been CRAZY! Lots of things going on. My kids are running on full-speed energy, gearing up for the last week of school, constantly asking for their state test scores. Needless to say: they are driving me nuts! I had some success with various giveaways (see the Giveaways All Around! section below) and I’ve been working around the clock (almost!) on upcoming things going on here at Land of 1000 Wonders.

Giveaways All Around!

I’ve had some fantastic folks sharing my Sunday Posts for the compilation of giveaways! Thank you! Keep sharing and spreading the word!

I haven’t mentioned this before in a Sunday Post, but I do enter all of the giveaways I list on my blog. Yes, I may be a little crazy. 🙂 I won’t list something I wouldn’t enter, so if you haven’t taken advantage of the giveaways – go enter! In the last three weeks I have won six giveaways, including one of the gift card giveaways. I know that doesn’t seem like a lot when you see the long list of giveaways each week, but for many of the giveaways there are thousands of – even upwards of 15-25K – entries. All you’ve got to lose is a few minutes for the ones you really want. 🙂

New Arrivals to Land of 1000 Wonder

I’ve noticed two particular trends in these books: crime and soul-searching. I already know once school is officially out, I am going on a crime-reading binge. I also am making a vested interest in finding more middle grades books.

With this week being so busy, I’m ending the week on my last leg. To check out the books I got this past week, please go check out my recent adds on my To-Read shelf on Goodreads.

    • Jessica, I know exactly what you’re talking about! I have the fall months planned out by genre reviews for that very reason!

MG can be a refreshing. If you find you need a break, pick up a MG book. They’re usually light and quick reads.

    • Jorie – yes! I usually forget to go link it up on Kimba’s Sunday Posts. That’s my downfall about these kinds of things, I do it but forget to go back and link up! Being a teacher, I love your chalkboard theme!
