What are you currently reading?
I promise one of these days I AM going to get up a Famous Last Words post. Lordt, but I need the time.
I am about halfway through April’s Power of the Matchmaker book, Love is Come by Heather B. Moore. In this installment, Pearl (the recurring character) goes back in time to the early 1900s. I was surprised at this because I thought the series was contemporary. So far I’ve seen very little of Pearl, so I’m hoping she’ll make a few more appearances before it’s over. Like I said, I’m only about halfway.
My creative writing class started reading Neil Simon’s play Lost in Yonkers. They are eating it up! They love Jay and Arty and are starting to root for Bella. We just met Louie yesterday, so they’re not too sure about him yet. The light bulb went off at the end of the period and some of them started realizing something fishy was up.
I have decided to restart The Reluctant Assassin (W.A.R.P. #1) once school is out. It’s on hold for at least two more weeks and then I hope I can clear it out of my Kindle.
My homeroom is at the very end of Wonder. I was bummed that they didn’t finish it before their AR due date, but it is what it is. They can read it next year and still get their points. I, however, will be finishing it sooner!
What did you just finish reading?
I read one book this week and I loved it. It was incredibly illustrated. Dragons Are Real was cute and funny and different.
You can read my review here.
What do you think you’ll read next?
This category is broken up into two separate sections. I’m making progress through my Review Tour Books! Then it’s on to my TBR Jar!
TBR Jar Books
These are still my pre-TBR Jar reads that I plan on getting to in the next two months. I have them on temporary hold until I read all my current tour books. Then the TBR Jar will really start…six months later. Someone recommended The Earl’s New Bride to be the first.
Review Tour Books
These are my review books for the remainder of May. I’m now down to one from my original list, and I’ve added the newest in my beloved Bakeshop Mystery series. 🙂
How about you? What are you reading this week?
Some of your books look interesting. I have a blog, I’ve just stopped doing the WWW because I read too bloody much! lmao.
I’m currently reading: Fellside by M.R. Carey (thriller), Devon’s Blade by Ken McConnell (sci-fi), and 3 Gates of the Dead by Jonathan Ryan (horror).
I hope WARPATH is good. I’ve enjoyed Colfer before! Happy reading and thanks for participating in WWW Wednesday!
