The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news, a post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things received, and share news about what is coming up on the blog for the week ahead. Hello, September! I hope you all had a fabulous Labor Day weekend. I enjoyed that extra day off!
Even though I had a four day school week, I was so exhausted when I got home, I ate and went to bed. On Tuesday I crawled in bed at 6:45! I didn’t get much reading done, but I’m hoping that smoothes out. I also didn’t get a Thoughts on Thursday post up, either! I was going to work on it … and obviously, I spent my time replenishing and renewing my energy each day. I now know I have to get my Thursday posts done the weekend before, just in case.
I received my second letter from my brother, and he has confirmed he will be stationed in Hawaii! I have always wanted to go to Hawaii (I actually wouldn’t mind living there), so I think I’ll just use that excuse to go out and visit him at some point. 😉
Friday I took my kids to the library, and I was amazed that so many of my boys were the first ones checked out and reading. I really do think we got a pretty awesome group this year.

Yay for a long weekend! I wish we could have those here in Australia. 😥
Bummer that you were still super tired though. Hopefully this week will go more smoothly for you! 😀
Thank you so much for linking up my nomination! I really really appreciate all the support you’ve given me and I don’t know how I could ever possibly repay you! ❤
Long weekends are good – and when you come back the kids are all wound up!
When I was doing my student teaching two years ago, I would literally come home and go straight to be and usually sleep til the next morning. Getting back in the groove takes some work, but it will smooth out as I get back in routine.
I was so happy you were nominated! I took myself over and Liked your nomination page immediately!
You can repay me by voting for me if I’m ever nominated for something. 😉 I’m still in my baby blogger stage, though, so it’ll be a while!
Many thanks for both links!!!
You’re welcome, Krystal! I hope your giveaway goes off without a hitch. 🙂
Enjoy your new week…I think those four day weeks are often more tiring…it’s like you’re cramming five days into four.
Here’s MY WEEKLY SUNDAY/MONDAY UPDATES POST
That is true. My partner and I were definitely cramming extra work in a few of those days.
Sounds like your school year’s starting out great! I would definitely take that excuse to go to Hawaii – I’ve always wanted to go. Someday …
Thanks for linking up to my discussion post! I always love finding fun discussions around the blogosphere!

It has been a truly smooth start of the year! I only hope it lasts!
Glad you have a great group of kids this year! That’s great about your brother. It’ll definitely give you the perfect chance to visit! I know what you mean about being exhausted. With the allergies and the heat I really could use about 10 extra hours of sleep! Have a great week!
I have a feeling allergies here in Austin are about to get bad with the changing weather for fall. And we already have a stomach virus going around – it claimed one of my kids last week…who puked all over my classroom. 😦
Pandora sounds good. Hope you enjoy and have a great week.
