Book Blogger Hop ~ Bookish Dream

The Book Blogger Hop is a weekly meme hosted by Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer. Each week poses a book-related question. The hop starts on Friday and ends on Thursday. The purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers.

Have you ever had a bookish, nocturnal dream? If so, please share the story. If not, have you ever had a daydream related to books? If so, please tell us about it. (submitted by Maria @ A Night’s Dream of Books)

Uhm, yes, I have had a bookish dream before. It was after reading … uh… geez, how could I forget the book! Let me back track, maybe I’ll remember. I don’t hardly EVER remember my dreams. It’s very rare that I do. For a while, I only remembered my dreams if something drastic happened to me in them.

I was in high school when I had this particular dream. I was feeding someone’s dog while they were out of town. I was in the garage with the door open and I was opening a new bag of dog food and pouring it in the big container. In the midst of doing this, a vehicle pulled up and some goons got out and kidnapped me! Dog food went all over.

Now this is where the dream gets even more convoluted. They kidnapped me and took me back in time! I was being held on a pirate ship! I sailed the high seas for a while and I don’t remember much after that. I know that’s pretty lackluster and a let down after that great build up.

Oh, duh. The book was Outlander. I also must have read one of the Bloody Jack books recently to kind of mix the two together.
