The Book Blogger Hop is a weekly meme hosted by Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer. Each week poses a book-related question. The hop starts on Friday and ends on Thursday. The purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers.
I definitely overextend myself, which is why I didn’t sign up for hardly any review tours last year. Probably less than five if memory serves. I still have review books from authors from my second year of blogging I still haven’t gotten back around to. During that time I was also doing review tours like a madman. My NetGalley backload is plain embarrassing, so all the evidence points to the fact that I overextend myself. I try to carefully plan, and back in the day I scheduled things like the most anal retentive person you could imagine…but sometimes things just don’t work out the way we want. I’m trying to catch up and clean out my Kindle and get better – promise!

I think it can be easy to overextend yourself. I guess I’m lucky to not be so popular for publishers as I rarely get those moments. Though occasionally I do get like 2-3 approvals from Netgalley at once which really sends me into crazy mode, though I know it’s nothing compared to other blogger’s crazy palettes!

I agree I always take way to many reviews I am on the same page trying to cut back.
Oh, me too! I have a backlog of review books I NEED to read! I am being very slow this year because I have been rereading and reading older books! LOL I need to stahp!
I try to stay on schedule. I’m trying to do much better this year. We won’t even talk about my NetGalley. I’m treating this year as a new year and trying to keep up with all the requests. We’ll see how it goes.
