What are you currently reading?

I was busy with too many late nights to get up my post last week, and my reading was SUPER slim. Embarrassing, really.

I picked up a new read, still in the Christmas vein. I just randomly picked the next new book back through my carousel on my Kindle, and this was it. It is set in a small Texas town with a big family ranch, so it is very familiar to me. The book opens with the younger teen brother of the MC getting arrested for cattle rustling. Seventy cattle are still missing, many ready to calve, in addition to a prize bull. Theft total coming to $275,000. It gets better and better from there!

What did you just finish reading?

I am embarrased that this is the first book I’ve finished for December. I literally have been reading two pages or so at a time each night before passing out. Like, how? I adored this book all along the way but there was just no time anywhere. Hopefully, I have that behind me now.

This was such a cute and sweet and Christmas read! It’s great for all readers and I highly recommend it! Also, the main setting is a locally-owned bookstore. 🙂

What do you think you’ll read next?

I am going to try to read at least 2-4 more Christmas books and get off my stack before moving on to new reads and calling the rest a wash until next year. I think the next few will be Christmas at Seashell Cottage and Christmas at Evergreen Inn. Donna Alward will be my most-read author this year with something like 5 or more books. These are books 1.5 and 3.5, respectively, in the Jewell Cove series.

How about you? What are you reading this week?
