Books I’m Thankful For
I had a hard time thinking about today’s topic, and I know I am going to be kicking myself when I go around visiting and see all of your responses.
No need to kick yourself at all. You’ve got HP and the Outlander series on here, plus Dr Seuss – win.
Lynn 😀
Thanks, Lynn!
I kick myself EVERY Tuesday, so no worries! But you got Harry on here so YAY!! Not seeing as much of him as I thought I would!
Here’s my Tuesday Post
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower 🙂
I’m glad I’m not alone in that, Jess! I was surprised I didn’t see HP around much either.
I went with books that were formative for me or had good associated experiences like reading with my mother or sister. But it wasn’t immediately obvious what I’d pick!
Yes, that’s kind of how I picked my books too. I should have added a few more!
I love Oh the Places You’ll Go. Great list!
I think you listed some good ones. I should start doing this meme!
YES! It makes me think sometimes and really reflect on books and reading and why certain books mean different things to me.
This was a hard theme this week! I stared at a blank screen for way to long. Love that you included Dr. Seusse; he was one of my favorites and Oh the Places You’ll Go is a great inspiration when I’m feeling down on myself 🙂 Great list!
OK. I thought it was just me! When I graduated high school, my first boss bought a copy of Oh The Places You’ll Go and signed it with a note for me. It was one of my greatest gifts!
I have a ton of books that I am thankful for but Harry Potter is up there! I also remember reading The Wind in the Willows and those Greek Mythology books 🙂
Oh, The Wind in the Willows is a good pick, too!
Hi! Dr. Seuss should have been on my list! 🙂 I enjoyed Looking for Alaska. It was the first John Green I read.
Leslie
That was also my first John Green novel!
These are some great books. No need to kick yourself. You have Harry Potter on there, so for me you are a keeper. 😉
Awwww! YAY!
I was crazy about the Seuss book “Happy Birthday To You” that I got when I was about 5, I think. So much fun!
I’m definitely thankful for Harry Potter!
I’m thankful for The Gargoyle by A. Davidson
Definitely the Harry Potter books and Pride and Prejudice!
