Favorite Gift Ever
Oh, gosh. I get several small and some thoughtful gifts from students, and one of them, in particular, I do love. I cherish the diamond ring my step-grandmother gave me after my grandfather died two years ago. I wear it every day on my left hand. I also cherish the pearls from my aunt, who died eight months before my grandfather (his daughter). For the longest time I was the only girl in the family, and my aunt took to me and sent me all manner of things over the years, even things for my classroom. I wear her pearls on special occasions and I always feel special and wonderful when I wear them. And I think of her.
What was your favorite gift?
Those are all very special gifts!!!
I couldn’t choose a favorite gift. Every gift means something different.
I’m having trouble choosing something specific too!! Different gifts from different people for different reasons all lead to a specialness for some gifts
Those are two such very special and touching gifts!
Very special gifts! I’m not sure what my favorite gift is. I have a bookmark my daughter gave me for Christmas when she was in kindergarten that I use every day. She’s in her 3rd year in college so it’s a bit battered but I still love it.

Those sound like some very thoughtful gifts. Your aunt sounds like a great person.
Thanks for singing up and sharing your favorite!
One of my all-time favorite gifts was when my husband made me a font out of my handwriting. I didn’t even know you could do that so I was amazed that he thought of it and took the time to do it! Thank you for sharing this at Booknificent Thursday on Mommynificent.com!

I know typographies are created all the time these days thanks to graphic design and other things, but I didn’t know you could create your own font yourself. That’s SO cool. How did he do it?
