This week went by in a blur. My partner and I have figured out we can stay super late on Mondays and get a lot of work done because her husband has a night class on Mondays. On Monday, I stayed until 11 finishing up a couple things, but I didn’t get to bed until 1 am every night. I don’t know why we were so insistent on giving out work…because then you have to grade it! I came home on Friday to The Man’s and immediately started prepping for a foot soak, and then I took a shower and went to bed.
I haven’t read any of my books in the last 3 weeks. I also haven’t been adding any scheduled posts, so my reserve is quickly depleting. I will be in the same boat again that I was in this summer when things came to a grounding halt. Where is the time? I am not even getting my posts linked up during the week.
On Thursday afternoon I was called to the office and summoned to testify AGAIN in the same case from the spring. On the same day as our yearbook workshop trip. And I am out another day next week because of UIL. I have a number of students who need to take care of work for their grades, so it is the worst timing because next week is the end of the grading period.
On Tuesday, we had author Jason Reynolds visit our school. We were selected for this visit by Book People, a large independent bookstore in downtown Austin. The entire school was buzzing about his visit, and for our students to meet someone “famous” it was a big thing. The kids were excellently behaved, except we had a couple of students asked inappropriate questions, like “Do you like watermelon?” I was so upset about that.

Girl of 1000 Wonders 
You’ve had some really long days! I hope you are getting enough sleep. My husband is able to stay up until the wee hours and still get up early, but I just can’t manage it like I used to. I hope you find time to catch up with your blogging. I am trying to stay ahead–I was doing well for awhile there, but am now just a week ahead. I should be happy I have at least that! LOL

Week in Review
Wow. Those are some long days and you are certainly busy. I get posts saved ahead and then relax, putting myself right back in the same scramble over and over. LOL Don’t feel alone. I hope things settle down and you can get back to reading soon:)

Wow! Sounds like you’re working hard!! How exciting about the Jason Reynolds visit—sounds like it was a fabulous event!
Yuck on the 11PM day. I imagine you were exhausted. Now I need to go look up Jason Reynolds’ books. He looks like he has so much fun energy that I’m curious. That sucks about the few kids that misbehaved. There’s always 1 or 2 that just have to screw stuff up. Have a great week!
