I am trying to catch up on my backlog of recent reads since I have been hiatus-ing. And it will let me catch up with my reading since I’m not reading as fast these days and it’s taking me longer to get through a book.
Synopsis ~ Duke with Benefits
LADY + DUKE = TRUE LOVE?
Lady Daphne Forsyth is a brilliant mathematician with a burning passion for puzzles. When she learns that the library belonging to her benefactress houses the legendary Cameron Cipher―an encrypted message that, once solved, holds the key to great riches―Daphne is on the case. Unfortunately, her race to unlock the cipher’s code is continually thwarted by a deliciously handsome distraction she hadn’t counted on. . .and cannot resist.
Dalton Beauchamp, the Duke of Maitland, is curious as to why Daphne is spending so much time snooping around his aunt’s bookshelves. He’s even more intrigued by her bold yet calculating manner: She is unapologetic about her secret quest. . .and the fiery attraction that develops between them both. But how can they concentrate on solving a perplexing enigma once the prospect of true love enters the equation?
Prologue
You will soon embark on a quest for something very valuable, but along the way you will risk losing your greatest love.

Teaser
It had been the promise that the library at Beauchamp House contained the famous Cameron Riddle, which legend said would lead the one able to decode it to a treasure hidden away by the leader of Clan Cameron in the days of the last Jacobite rebellion, that led Daphne to travel south to take her place among the four Beauchamp Heiresses. “I never feel it with you,” she said softly.
Arrested by both her cryptic words and the touch of vulnerability to her tone, he turned back.
“The fear,” she continued quietly. “Whenever I meet eyes with someone, I get this…knot of fear in my stomach. Anxiety.” [Loc 1660]

I love the cover! I don’t read many historical novels, but I love the clothes and the issues that come up. Thanks for sharing…and here’s mine: “THE CHILD”
Not so much one for me…doesn’t look like there is enough murder in it 😀 My teaser is is Here
There are two murders – and the second is kinda gruesome. And a kidnapping!
This sounds really good! I like a little puzzle solving and I’ve been looking for new-to-me historical romance authors.
