Book Blogger Hop ~ 6.23.17

The Book Blogger Hop is a weekly meme hosted by Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer. Each week poses a book-related question. The hop starts on Friday and ends on Thursday. The purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers.

If you are at a really good point in a book and the phone rings or the door bell rings, do you stop reading or let the phone or door bell go unanswered? (submitted by Elizabeth @ Silver’s Reviews)

First, let me state that for the record as a law enforcement officer’s significant other, we don’t ever answer the doorbell unless it’s the pizza delivery. So the doorbell can ring all day. If it isn’t the pizza, you can forget about it.

I can’t say I’ve ever answered the phoned while I was reading before. Not any instance that I can recall, at least, but I’m sure it’s happened at some point. After the suicide of my cousin, Rikki Tikki, after placing an unanswered call (to his mother), I try to answer the phone whenever it rings – given I know the individual calling. It’s just something that has stayed with me over the years that I just can’t shake, so it doesn’t matter how good the book is getting, I’ll answer the call.

  1. I like your answer, and it has made me think about what I do when the phone rings. You will see what I mean when you read my answer. 🙂

Wonderful to see you on the Blog Hop.

    Have a good Friday.

    Happy Hopping!!
