Max West is a world famous rock star, but he started out as Claire Danner Crispin’s high school sweetheart. Long after their sweet summer affair has ended and at a time when both are at the heights of their careers, the two collide again in the midst of Nantucket’s notorious Children Summer Gala after Claire – filling her days as a mother of four youngsters and also a nationally renowned glassblower – bites off more than she can manage.
As Claire navigates being the co-chair to Nantucket’s largest benefit concert, she comes full circle and face to face with her childhood past. Things are all aligned to run smoothly until Claire overloads her plate and makes decisions that anchor her to the Gala. Claire discovers that doing good and being bad are not mutually exclusive—and that nothing is ever as simple as it seems in A Summer Gala.
