What are you currently reading?
I didn’t have a post last week for WWW. Since I hadn’t finished any new books and I forgot about my post, I just went ahead and left it as is. For the last few weeks I’ve been slowing on getting these up. I’m slumping hard, y’all!
I haven’t started anything new yet since I just finished two books the last two nights, but this evening I will start in on The Toucan Trilogy. The first book in the series is Night of the Purple Moon, followed by Colony East.
What did you just finish reading?
I finished my second Rachael Anderson book. Not Always Happenstance also happens to be the second book in The Power of the Matchmaker series, which is turning out to be really neat.
You can read my review from last week here.
I also finished Dog Goner, the second book in the Kibble Talk series. Tawny and Dinky are at it again, and this time Tawny’s friend Jenny is all up in the mix, too. Fortunately, they have a little help in this installment, but things get heated toward the end. I thought for sure a few characters were going to be goners!
You can read my review of the first book, Kibble Talk, here. Look for my review of Dog Goner in a few weeks.
I also powered through the last bit of Jeff Anderson’s Zach Delacruz: Me and My Big Mouth. I love this book, and I love Zack Delacruz.
I also love that Jeff Anderson is a Central Texan and he writes about our area. His commentary about middle school life is spot-on. As a middle school teacher, I couldn’t help but share certain scenes with my students – in hopes to get them checking this out!
This one will also review in a few weeks – probably the beginning of March. Look for it then!
What do you think you’ll read next?
These are the next four books on my list. I’m slowly but surely working through some backlogged review books, Amazon freebies, and NetGalley requests. I think I’m going to really like all of the ones coming up, so I hope that helps me get out of this slump!
How about you? What are you reading this week?
I’ve had a slow reading-week so far, too, Charlie. I am in such a book hangover, even if I managed to read (and enjoy) a novella yesterday.
Have a wonderful Wednesday and happy reading 🙂
It’s great that you could share scenes from Zack Delacruz with your students. Hopefully it’ll get some more of them reading 🙂
I hope all your next reads are great and help you out of your slump.
