Alison Can Read Feature & FollowIt is the Friday Feature Follow!

This is a weekly blog meme hosted by Parajunkee’s View and Alison Can Read.

There are some general rules to the Feature Follow, and they have recently been updated. There are now TWO Featured Bloggers each week, one at Parajunkee’s View and one at Alison Can Read. It is required that you follow both of these Featured Bloggers, so make sure you stop in with both hosts’ posts to meet the Featured Bloggers and follow them.

Apparently there was a mix up last week. I ended up doing today’s topic, so today I’m stepping back in time to last week’s real topic.

The Question:

Black Friday Eve! You have $100 (or pounds or whatever your currency is) to spend on books. What are you going to buy? – Suggested by Alison Can Read

My Answer:

Since I have been thinking about this topic for a week, and saw some great posts about this last week, I’ve put more thought into this. I am also living in an ideal world where there is no sales tax. 🙂

We all know how easy it is to blow $100, and books are $$$. You have to carefully select your books and be strategic about how you can get it for the lowest price.

My two #1 wants right now are:

  1. Harry Potter Paperback Box Set (Books 1-7)   $45.84
  2. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone: The Illustrated Edition (Harry Potter, Book 1) $23.99

These TWO items bring me to a whopping $69.83. So…I got $30 left.

What’s new with you? Leave me a comment about anything!

    • I was going to order the illustrated edition for my mom for Christmas, and then when I saw your post I freaked out because I thought *that* was the book! I conducted thorough research on Amazon and was astounded by the Deluxe’s cost. Holy Hera! If all seven books roll out like that, you gotta get those things insured! That’s $1500 in first editions deluxe! I hope you get it soon. I wanna see what it really looks like a little closer than those Amazon pictures.
