Casting the Svatura Movies

Casting the movies is one of my favorite things to do, and also one of the things I do at the beginning of my process when I’m trying to form a picture in my head of what my characters look like. For the Svatura series here is who I would pick and why:

Ellie Aubrey – Heroine of Blue Violet

Played by Willa Holland

Ellie is girl next door with eyes that can lean toward the exotic yet freckles on the bridge of her nose. She’s also cheerful and upbeat as well as confident and capable.

Alex Jenner – Hero of Blue Violet

Played by Colin Egglesfiled

Alex is tall and handsome with dark hair and blue eyes. Super sexy but also real. If you’ve seen the movie version of Something Borrowed, you’ll see Colin is the perfect Alex.

Selene Cavriani – Heroine of Hyacinth

Played by Esti Ginzberg

Selene is ethereal looking with white-blond hair and grey eyes. She looks very delicate but has nerves of steel. This picture of Esti is Selene to a T.

Griffin Aubrey – Hero of Hyacinth

Played by Stephen Amell

The star of Arrow is totally my Griffin. Griffin is gorgeous, tall, and muscled. He has golden hair and eyes. He’s serious and protective of those he loves.

Lila Jenner – Heroine of Crimson Dahlia

Played by Maggie Grace

Lila has long golden blond hair and green eyes. She is feisty and strong and hard to befriend but loyal once you do. Maggie is perfect for her.

Ramsey Pierce – Hero of Crimson Dahlia

Played by Jeremy Sumpter

Ramsey is a firestarter – a very dangerous power. He’s very intense and serious, and uber protective of those he loves. He has red hair and bottle-green eyes.

Adelaide Jenner – Heroine of Black Orchid

Played by Madison Riley

Adelaide has similar coloring to Lila – golden-blond hair and green eyes. She wears her hair shorter. She is also shy and more delicate than Lila – at least when you first meet her.

Nate Pierce – Hero of Black Orchid

Played by Nick Guldan

Nate is tall with sandy brown hair and brown eyes. He is muscled but lean with it (his power is speed and strength). Nate is the happy-go-lucky guy with a sparkle in his eye.
