When it rains, it pours! Tuesday night I came home to no gas, so I had no heat and thus no hot water. That night it got down to 38 degrees! I sure was snuggled up with Baby that night!

I left school on Friday before 5 o’clock with ALL my grades for the entire week entered into the online gradebook – including the homework students turned in that day. I felt pretty awesome!

As promised, here are the brother in Hawaii photos! Although he was super nervous about his flights there, he is loving Hawaii.

~ New Arrivals to Land of 1000 Wonders ~

I received these things in the mail last week. Yep, I am reminding myself not to take the crap excuses.

November is Native American Heritage month! It falls in line perfectly with Thanksgiving, don’t you think? I am of Cherokee descent, and unfortunately for me all that I inherited were the cheekbones and wild spirit.

When I was in 5th grade my teacher made the entire class read these extremely long, in-depth and detailed books about many of the different tribes. It was not always the most interesting thing, but from those readings I gleaned a lot of the Native American knowledge I now have and reflect back on it when I’m reading something steeped in a Native American tribe. I feel that I know more about various tribes than most people I come in contact with, which is a little depressing.

  1. I’ll take some Cherokee cheekbones! I got a ton of freckles and reddish hair from my Irish ancestors but cheekbones got left out of the mix! I haven’t read He’s Not That Into You but I’ve heard it’s a fun read. I love the pictures of your brother. He looks so delighted in the last one! Have a great week!
