Sunday Post (September 21)

Sunday PostThe Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news, a post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things received, and share news about what is coming up on the blog for the week ahead. To get in on the Sunday funday, see the rules here: Sunday Post Meme.  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The week started out with me dragging my booty at work. I was exhausted when Monday afternoon rolled around…and had two sets of papers to grade when I got home, not to mention having to go to the store.

I actually did nothing on the blog last weekend besides update a couple of challenge pages. I had two reviews to get cranking on, and after spending over 10 hours on the computer Saturday and Sunday for trainings, my cross-eyed eyeballs had to say goodbye to the computer.

My kids took their first test this week! We played Jeopardy on Tuesday after talking about figurative language, examples, and looking at a few different pieces of poetry, and of course a personification drawing contest. I have to say, I have some pretty talented artists again this year!

I got lots of goodies in the mail last week! Some that were unexpected to boot! On Monday evening when I checked the itty bitty apartment mail box it was jam-packed, stuffed to overflowing full. I don’t know how our mailman got it all in there, I really don’t.

20140915_194415 20140915_194428 20140915_194515See that? I got an official sealed envelope! Although there was nothing inside (it was only housing for bookmarks) I am keeping it!

I don’t know if this is to my benefit or detriment, but I have followed a few more blogs that I discovered over the course of the week. Several were challenge hosts for the Tackle Your TBR read-a-thon.

I also noticed everyone taking part in last week’s Top Ten Tuesday, and I must say that you all made a very convincing argument that I must join this meme. Give me some planning time and it might happen!

  1. Wow, it definitely sounds like you’ve had an exhausting week! I hope your husband is feeling better and his knee is okay! And how awesome that you got a sealed envelope?! I wouldn’t have wanted to open it! haha. And ooh, I’ve heard good things about The Murder Complex. Hope you like it!

    • I came home Tuesday, ate dinner and slept from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM. Very much needed rest. They think Daniel’s going to be able to go back to work next week, which he is itching to do. I debated for a long time whether to break the seal or not. I was so worried that I would actually break the seal design, so I used a letter opener and slid it smoothly underneath the seal. It’s so pretty!
