The Question:

Tell us about a book character you’d trade places with.  (Escaping within Pages)

My Answer: 

I would trade places, without a doubt, with Claire (Beauchamp) Randall from Diana Gabaldon’s Outlander. Now, that requires I still know everything she knows, especially all the medical stuff she knows, for which she can attribute as the reason she is eventually accused of being a witch. Otherwise, I’d be a blubbering idiot Jamie is carting around.

BUT I digress….I want to be Claire because…

1. Jamie. I don’t even need to say any more.
2. I like time travel.
3. I would enjoy both the time she lived in (1945 Britain) and the time she travels to (1743 Scotland).
4. She gets to time travel more than once! She lives two lives in two different centuries!
5. She’s a badass, plain and simple.

And because I love Outlander so much, here are a few of my favorite quotes! These are all said, of course, by Jamie.
