The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news, a post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things received, and share news about what is coming up on the blog for the week ahead. To get in on the Sunday funday, see the rules here: Sunday Post Meme. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This week had me back at school every day. I’m telling ya, getting back on schedule is hard to do. As the week went on I did not want to get up.
I got my first letter from my brother, JB. It seems to be taking an entire week for either of us to get letters from the other. He’s about halfway through. I put in my request for days off to spend another road trip with my family going to Georgia in October.
School starts on Monday, even though I’m not quite ready for it!

Today is the last day to sign up for the Annual Beat the Heat Read-A-Thon. It runs through the end of August. it runs through the end of August. You can see what I set my goals at here.
Remember last week when I shared Rachel’s post about an update and other news about LitRate? Well, if you didn’t catch it last week, here it is again. This week I found another great post about the importance of pledging even a dollar.
OK. I don’t think I’ve ever said this, but here it is: if you don’t follow Oh, The Books! (Asti, Kelley and Leanne) you need to. Take five seconds and go subscribe to their blog in any way you’d like. They always have stellar posts, and for a baby blogger like me, they have very useful and relevant information that they share regularly. The teacher in me loves that. The post that impressed me this week was Kelley’s co-blogging feature about managing emails and contact forms.
Other things I found around that I’d like to spotlight….
- Jennifer shared the pros and cons of self-publishing
- Amberr shares some basic blogging tips about building strong blogging communities
- Jennifer also shared a writing tip for recording details
- Kimba @ Caffenaited Book Reviewer celebrates her 3rd blogoversary with a scavenger hunt giveaway
- Carrie features a Guess the Quote Literary Games challenge for fun
- Carrie is going to BEA 2015
- The PJV is five!
- Brittany has some recommendations for what to read after TFioS
- Go sign up for Tackle Your TBR Read-a-thon
- Laura is calling for guest posts
Hope there’s no problem getting time off. I love a good road trip! Yay for a quiet week TBR-wise. I could use a few myself. I enjoyed your reviews for The Girls of August and an American Girl in Italy. Have a great week!
Hope school started OK for you ? You’ve been very busy on the blog, have a great week 😉
